hiv-virus_50The medical world has made the life of people all the more simple than usual, now they have come up with the first home HIV test, which has been launched in the UK.

This test involves swabbing a sample of saliva and sending it off to a laboratory. Upon a negative sample, the person will receive an e-mail, if it is a positive HIV sample a doctor will call directly, urging for more tests because the saliva test isn’t as accurate as the blood test.

The home test costs approximately $48.

This is a better option for curtailing the spread of HIV and it has been assumed that it would encourage many people to be tested because of the privacy factor involved.
